Full Mount speaks with Eugene Fadiora ahead of fight with Gunner Nelson at BAMMA 4

Just weeks before taking on Gunner Nelson at the upcoming BAMMA 4 event at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham England, Full Mount MMA caught up with Eugene Fadiora who had much to say about what is possibly the biggest fight of his career, both men's undefeated streaks being on the line and what is already one of the most anticipated bouts on the card.

Fadiora, who at only 22 years old holds a perfect record of nine wins with no losses will be looking to use this fight to catapult his career and move himself further up the rankings. Any other fighter with an undefeated record on the line would more than likely let the added pressure get inside their head. However Eugene, who enjoys a little added pressure going into a fight puts all records and reputation aside as soon as the cage door closes.

"I’ve got to a stage now where I have to treat every fight like I’m the underdog, and it makes me hungry. I forget about my record and train like this is the fight of my life. Can’t get much more pressure than that really, can you?”

Fans and MMA insiders alike are predicting Fadiora to come into this fight looking to keep the fight standing due to his background in Karate and Kickboxing. Nelson, who has trained under BJ Penn and obtained a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Renzo Grazie is extremely dangerous on the ground. Eugene however has not forgotten that Nelson will be a tough opponent in the stand up game as well as while Nelson is seen by many as a submission expect, half of his wins have came via knockout. Fadiora, who has been training hard with Team Kaobon in preparation for the fight says that he is more than well prepared for the challenge ahead.

"Obviously the ground game is his foremost strength, but his stand up striking is unorthodox, which I think could catch a lot of people out. Also to get on the ground there will be some sort of wrestling involved, which I think he is very good at.”

With the eyes of the MMA community firmly fixed on BAMMA 4, all fighters on the card realise that on September 25th they will have a chance to show the world that they deserve to be at the top of their divisions and will be looking to win in spectacular fashion. Eugene however realises that he must go into this fight intelligently and will do whatever it takes to secure a win and a tenth notch on his already impressive perfect record.

"I always look for the big spectacular KO, but that isn’t always there and I’d consider myself a smart fighter, so I’m happy to just wear my opponent down minute by minute, round by round."

Eugene, who made his BAMMA debut against Nathan Champ at BAMMA 1 knows that there is a lot on the line on September 25th. As a fighter that loves to watch as well as take part in exciting fights however, Fadiora wants to put the fans first when he takes on Nelson.

"Even if I don’t beat him (which I obviously think I will) at least I would have put up a fight worth talking about, and I’d like to think the whole MMA community would be talking about it, not just the UK.”

On September 25th fans at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena will witness two of Mixed Martial Arts' hottest talents do battle in the most important fight of their careers. One undefeated streak will come to and end and both men are going to put themselves to the test. Fadiora and Nelson are going to put on a fight that MMA fans will remember for years to come. You won't want to blink during this one.
